To a new you!

Yáll

January 2015 is gone!!! Can you believe?  I hope so far it’s been a happy jolly ride for all.  And if not, well we still got 11 more months to try and get it right.  Every New Year, we have this protracted list of New Year’s resolutions or for some My Goals and Aspirations.  This year I decided away with all that.  The only thing I want to do this year is to focus on MYSELF.  I know it might sound self-centred but I feel I owe it to myself to take better care of me, my being, to improve myself.  I am not trying to re-invent myself,  I need to figure out who I am, vs who I want to be vs who I don’t want to be.
You see that should keep me pretty occupied for the year because we all know the Journey of the Self is a never ending one. So on my journey of self-discovery I stumbled upon a website where I read this piece and it strike a chord within me and I just had to share it with you all

Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.  To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.  To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only the best, to work only the best, and to expect only the best.  To be just enthusiastic about the success of others as your are about your own
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievement of the future.  To wear a cheerfull countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.  To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in the loud words but great deeds.  To live in faith that the whole world is on your side so long as your are true to the best that is in you.

I aim for all of the above…

Cheers to a better ME!!

There is no expiration date to life...so Live today like its your last

Yáll

I have not been here in along time.  I have the tendency to evaporate from reality for awhile and just float. Thats not an ideal way, but it works for me.  I call it my timeout from everything.  Recently I have been thinking about death and losing loved ones alot  We all have lost loved  one's and for some of us, that loss still lingers even after years. Death should not be feared, yet is.  Fear brought on because of the finality of it.  A person whom I love dearly  lost his mother and it made me realized again how fragile we all are in this world and that we are only passing though. We sometimes think we still have time to do, to live, to love, but the reality is;

In a split second, the person you love can be taken away from you  or vice versa.  Make sure you live each day as if it is your last.  Although we may not want to akcknowledge it, today could be the grand finale.  Life doesn't  come with and exact expiration date.  Gerard Way said it best:  "One day your life will flash before your eyes.  Make sure its worth watching." So make it count.  Make sure your loved ones around you know how you truly feel about them at all times.  Even if you are angry, disappointed or hurt, talk about it and work through it.  Be the one who loves more.  There's nothing wrong with that. Be the one who gives like the Giving Tree and be the one to Forgive. Let the little things go and when big things happen that you cannot move on from, move on without them, peacefully.  Never allow your last words to be negative.  Any moment can be your last - so why waste time overreacting, being mad, or holding a grudge?  Your time on this wonderful planet is precious.  Dont ever forget that.  Love with all you can, while you can.  Cherish what you have, while you have it.  Honor your time here on earth.  Its a gift.

Ciao for now.
